Avinab De grew up in Orlando, Florida, and completed his undergraduate education at Youngstown State University through its accelerated BS/MD program, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. He is currently a rising second-year medical student at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED).
Avinab has tutored students in biology, biochemistry, and physics since his undergraduate years. Through this experience, he has developed an adaptable teaching style focused on breaking down complex material, identifying knowledge gaps, and helping students build confidence in difficult subjects. He enjoys working with students to create structured and realistic study plans while emphasizing active learning, practice questions, and long-term understanding rather than memorization alone.
Having navigated both an accelerated BS/MD program and the transition to medical school, Avinab understands the academic demands students face and aims to provide supportive, individualized guidance tailored to each student's goals and learning style.
Outside of medicine and tutoring, Avinab enjoys lifting weights, riding roller coasters, and trying out different racing simulators.
